Being a Mother on Mother's Day is the Bomb
Excuse me for bringing back my key phrases from junior high, but seriously being a mom on my first Mother's Day rocked. Jacoby gave me some brown wedge flip flops and a new pair of running shorts. Cool Beans! A week or so before Mother's Day, we were on Barry Road and I asked Zach if we could go to Lowe's and get new ceiling fans to replace our way outdated and one speed (slow) ones. He agreed and we went right away. I was SO EXCITED because I get excited about simple things like ceiling fans. Zach, on the other hand, was very grumpy and I kept saying, "What's YOUR problem?". Finally, I he admitted that ceiling fans were supposed to be my Mother's Day present and he was so proud of himself for thinking of it weeks ahead of time. Oops! Well, it makes things a bit more memorable and just proves that he knows me well. :)
